→ Chicken

03 - 1 medium boneless, skinless chicken breast
04 - 1 tablespoon olive oil
05 - 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder

11 - Fresh cilantro or parsley, chopped

# How To Make:

01 - Preheat a grill pan or skillet over medium-high heat.
02 - Brush the chicken breast with olive oil and season with garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Grill for 6-7 minutes per side until cooked through and juices run clear.
03 - Transfer the grilled chicken to a plate and let rest for 3 minutes, then slice thinly.
04 - While the chicken cooks, toast the bread slices until golden and crisp.
05 - Cut the avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Add lemon juice and a pinch of salt, then mash until mostly smooth.
06 - Spread the smashed avocado evenly over each slice of toast.
07 - Arrange grilled chicken slices on top of the avocado. Sprinkle with chili flakes and drizzle with honey.
08 - Add fresh herb garnish if desired and serve immediately.

# Expert Hints:

01 -
  • It feels indulgent but comes together faster than ordering takeout
  • The sweet heat from honey and chili flakes makes every bite interesting
  • Youll actually feel satisfied and energized, not weighed down
  • Its impressive enough to serve guests but easy enough for a solo lunch
02 -
  • Letting the chicken rest before slicing keeps all the juices inside instead of spilling onto your cutting board
  • Mash the avocado right before assembly or it will start to brown even with lemon juice
  • Dont skimp on the honey drizzle, it ties the whole dish together in a way you wouldnt expect
03 -
  • Toast the bread in the same pan you cooked the chicken in to pick up those caramelized bits of flavor
  • Slice the chicken while its still slightly warm so it drapes nicely over the avocado instead of sitting stiff on top
  • Keep a little extra lemon juice handy to brighten everything up right before serving
